house of colors

Last night we were driving home in the landrover at 1 or 2 in the morning from a bar in Salas. The police followed us through Tremp and then pulled us over on the other side. The said they pulled us over for a burnt out brake light but it was really because it was a full landrover. They continued to explain that they had been tipped off that some landrovers in the area were hauling stolen copper.

The best part was one of the officers started smoking. I have never seen an officer smoke in uniform. The Italian with us started to grumble and complain about it. Then the officer offered us all cigarettes. It was pretty awesome, nobody took any though. The Italian then yelled at the officer about how unprofessional they were, they replied: "calm down, it's okay".

Anyways, the next morning I managed to get some photos of the house of colors.

This is where we practice yoga. We are on the third floor, notice the light coming through the roof.

blind photography

I busted my camera screen, so all the photo's I took were without looking. Not bad? Riselle and I have been yurt repairers for a week, prepping it for a 24-year-old man who will be living for a year in solitude. I have moved out into the geo-dome.

The thistle is blooming, were really getting into fall.

Here is my new home! I have lived here for over a week I believe.

I have something looking over me.

My coffee making station.

This is by one of the grocery stores on the way back home.

Here is Carolina's house is awesome. The name of the house translates to 'the house of colors' because each of the bedrooms are a different color. There is a tree in the green room. The top floor or the loft is a giant room with a 20ft high ceiling with large portions of the walls missing, it is where we do yoga.

I have been hanging out with one of EcoDharma's side businesses, Climb Catalunya, which uses Carolina's house as base camp. I have managed to get a 35 meter bare-foot climb in. The man sitting at the bottom of the house is Sudarka who teaches us yoga in the evenings. I am here for one  more day before I go to Rome!

the smallest cliff village

Rod and I went and hiked the entire west ridge last sunday. Halfway up a sheer cliff is a small town with at least 5 tiny houses for the farmers at one point. The houses are mostly under an overhang, and its only about 20 feet from the wall of the cliff to the next drop.

Can you see me?

We must be pretty high up when we are looking down on the vultures.

Can you see EcoDharma?

Proper roof.

Venus always shows up right under the moon every night.

the thunder shakes the floor

I can now add to the list of things that I have done: push-started a VW bus.

The plumbs are poring out the trees, we have them for breakfast, and this afternoon we are making a plumb jam.

It has rained off and on most of this week, the first time since June.

We really do live in and above the clouds most of the time.

I took this one standing in front of my yurt!

I saw a man with a scarf tied around his ankle, tied to his dog

The morning light.

Alex gave me a haircut, all I said was "make me look like a local".

We went to Fira Tarrega, one of the greatest festivals I have ever been too. Crazy street theater, most it was free, what could be better?

Cal Toa's kitchen-

Rod and I went for a hike up the cliffs.

This is the valley/national park behind EcoDharma.

It was so steep we surfed down.

This is the thunderstorm that past us last night, we never quite got rain, lots of lightening.
